GoAir passenger traffic up 73%

No-frill carrier GoAir has recorded 73% growth in passenger traffic in the first nine months of the current fiscal carrying nine million passengers.

After expanding operations last November and doubling weekly flights to 561, GoAir has recorded an average load factor of 83%, which it claimed was maintained consistently over the past year.

Jeh Wadia, managing director, GoAir, said: "We enjoy the highest market share per aircraft in the industry."

The airline has also managed to maintain its lead by recording high load factor, he added.

The airline currently operates to 11 cities - Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Cochin, Delhi, Goa, Hyderabad, Jammu, Jaipur, Chennai and Srinagar.
