Indiabulls Power Services, the power sector company promoted by Indiabulls, has won the bid for the 1,600 Mw Bhaiyathan power project and a 350 million tonne coal block in Chattisgarh. |
The winning bid for sale of 65% power produced by the plant was for 81 paise per kWh. The next two bids were at 88 paise per kWh from the Vedanta Group-promoted Sterlite Industries and 88 paise per kWh from GMR, respectively. |
Unlike ultra mega power projects (UMPP)s where 100% power has to be sold at a levelised tariff, 35% power produced by the plant is available for merchant sales. This will average out the overall realisation of the plant. All bids were on the basis of levelised tariff and escalation of prices over time, said a statement issued by Indiabulls Power Services. |
About 10 leading power producers, including Reliance Power and Tata Power, were in the fray for the pit-head coal-fired power project, said sources. |
Indiabulls Power Services, which recently raised Rs 1,600 crore from steel baron L N Mittal and Farallon Capital by divesting 28.6% to pursue its power plans, is also building two mega thermal power plants in Maharashtra with an aggregate capacity of 3,960 Mw. |
Short Term trading is about trading in the direction of the market trend. Put simply: Buy when the main trend is UP and Sell when the trend is Down. This is based on technical analysis. A basic moving average on a time frame chart will show the direction of the securities movement. This is not rocket science; it's basic visual realization.
